On Lootist, people looking for great products can connect with real-world enthusiasts, hobbyists, and other specialists to get informed recommendations.

All the product recommendations on Lootist are submitted by our community, which is made up of real people, like you. We display every enthusiast's background, and the endorsements he or she has received from others in the community.

Lootist doesn't sell any products directly. Instead, our enthusiasts recommend products from any store on the Web.


The Lootist Enthusiasts Network is a group of bloggers who each write about a particular topic or interest, whether it’s a sport, a hobby, collectibles, or anything else that attracts enthusiasts.

The bloggers in the Lootist Enthusiasts Network produce high-quality content, and have the passion and knowledge in their respective areas of interest to make great product recommendations. These bloggers have applied to become members of the network, and Lootist has carefully screened and approved them.

Lootist drives traffic to these bloggers and helps them make money for recommending products.


A blog with high-quality content focused on a particular area of interest (e.g., a sport, a hobby, collectibles, etc.) can qualify to join the Lootist Enthusiasts Network.

“High quality” means we don’t allow spam blogs or blogs featuring content any stronger than PG-13.


Of course. Any registered member of Lootist, including bloggers in the Lootist Enthusiasts Network, can recommend products from any site on the Web. The number of recommendations you make--and how often you make them---is completely up to you. (Learn more about how easy it is to recommend products.)

However, our users and your blog readers are most interested in the products related to your blog’s subject matter, since that’s the area in which you’ve developed an expertise. Relevant recommendations generally lead to higher purchase conversion rates, and subsequently to more money for you.


Lootist makes it easy to automatically share your products recommendations to all the places you hang out online, like your blog, Facebook page, MySpace page, and more.

• The Lootist widget. You can install the widget on any Flash-compatible page that accepts HTML code. That includes your blog, MySpace page, and other social networking sites. Check out a sample Lootist widget.
• The Lootist Facebook application. The Lootist Facebook application can add a box to your Facebook profile containing your latest product recommendations, and can send updates to your mini-feed and news feed whenever you make a new recommendation. Check out the Lootist Facebook application.
• “Share” buttons on Lootist. You can also post your recommendations to Facebook using the “Share” buttons located next to each product in your Lootist profile.

Whenever your readers or friends visit Lootist via any of these shared recommendations and purchase any of your recommended products, you get paid a commission.


It depends. The more people who see your recommendations through the Lootist widget and through Facebook, and the better your recommendations, the higher that chances that people will make purchases and make you money.


Although you can recommend products from any Web site, we currently can only help you get paid for the products you recommend from Amazon.com.

We’re working on adding support for other affiliate networks.
