I'm that guy that people go to when they need help hooking up their new HDTV and surround-sound systems. I've been an aficionado for over ten years.

I like convincing myself that the latest shiny gizmos and gadgets are "needs" not "wants".

Mike`s rating:
Another piece of furniture that not only provides you a place to mount your flat-panel TV, but also gives you a place to put your center channel speaker and home theater gear.

DVDO Systems » DVDO iScan VP50

For people interested in home theater, movies, hdtv, upscaler

Mike`s rating:
Known for being the best bang-for-your-buck in video upscalers. With the new firmware update, it upscales to 1080p/24. So, of course, one of these babies is usually only worthwhile if you've got a huge display.

I've been living with this TV for almost six months, and it's absolutely beautiful. Great colors and detail, plenty of inputs (2 HDMI), and really great-looking frame.
