Oh, and my son made it successfully to toddlerhood, so don't worry: you'll survive the first year.

Hot, hot, hot. I've been disappointed with many recent erotica anthologies, but this one gives you the best of the best right from the get-go with the story "Halves," which skirts the edge of taboo (and goes a little over). Plus it's got a cool appendix listing the top erotica authors and Web sites. This is editor Susie Bright's last anthology in this series. It will be interesting to see who takes over.

The Letters to Penthouse series is the McDonald's of erotica. Satisfaction is fast, cheap and reliable, and leaves you with a slightly greasy feeling afterwards. This volume is no exception. I'm giving it 4 stars only because if I gave it 5, I wouldn't be able to respect myself in the morning

Sigh. This latest edition of this popular anthology is neither erotic nor the best. Think of it this way. A cookbook is designed to make you hungry. Erotica should make you want to...you know. But this book disappoints. Here's hoping to better in 2008.

Despite the controversy it caused upon its publication, this is one of the best books of erotica by a "mainstream" author since Anais Nin. Witty, disturbing, intelligent...and extremely erotic.
