I live to climb. I live in Salt Lake most of the year and spend the winters in El Paso guiding at Hueco Tanks.

Five Ten Jet 7 Climbing Shoe

For people interested in climbing, bouldering, general badassery

I had heard not so great things about this replacement for the V10, which was one of the most badass shoes of all time. So I was a bit skeptical. However as soon I set foot in a pair of these Jet7's and started up a climb, I immediately knew these would now be my favorite shoes.

Here is how you size them (this is directly from my 5.10 rep's mouth):
-Anasazi size + 1.5 = Dragon size
-Anasazi size - 0.5 = Jet7 size
Example: I wear Anasazi size 7.5, Dragon size 9, and Jet7 size 7. And they all fit the same.

P.S. They are pronounced "jet-set", like ze french.

Five Ten Dragon

My favorite sport climbing shoe. The picture is deceiving - they are much more downturned than that. The dragons were the first shoe to popularize the downturned toe. Very good for steep climbing, yet these shoes are stiff enough to perform well on edges and heel-toe cams (as opposed to the V10s, which can be rather soft).

New England Ropes (Maxim) 9.5mm Pinnacle

For people interested in climbing, best in class sport ropes

supersonick`s rating:
The Maxim Pinnacle is one of my two favorite sport climbing ropes, and over the years I've tried them all. (The other is the Mammut Infinity.) At 9.5mm, it's thin enough and light enough for hard redpoints, yet I find it to be durable enough for a season's worth of dogging on your projects. Truly an amazing rope. And don't worry, it works just fine with a gri-gri. A little harder to come by than the Mammut Infinity, but worth the search. Bonus points for being a Made in America product.
